Imperfections Abound
Your body was never going to be perfect, and the sooner you stop negotiating with that fantasy, the sooner your life starts to feel like it belongs to you again. Our culture sells us this lie that a good life requires a reliable and strong body, but most of us eventually learn the truth the hard way that bodies are unpredictable, fragile, and sometimes inconvenient. Making peace with an imperfect body does not mean giving up, it means refusing to postpone your life until conditions improve. It means recognizing that meaning is not reserved for the fully functional, the pain free, or the energetic. It is available in the middle of the mess, in the limited, in the human. Your body may not cooperate with every plan you make, but it still allows you to care about something, to move toward something, to build something small but real. The imperfect body is not an obstacle to life, it is the place where life is happening whether you like it or not, and peace begins the moment you stop waiting for a different one.
