Crisis or Chrysalis

Sometimes the moment that feels like everything is falling apart is just a cramped, uncomfortable room where the next version of you is being built. Illness, loss, failure, the long quiet stretches where nothing seems to work all feel like emergencies of the soul. Your plans collapse, your identity cracks, and the story you thought you were living suddenly stops making sense. It feels like a crisis because the old life no longer fits and the new one has not yet taken shape. A chrysalis is not a peaceful place. It is dark, tight, and uncertain. Something inside you dissolves so something else can form. The strange truth is that many of the chapters that later feel meaningful began in moments that felt unbearable while they were happening. The crisis becomes the container where the next story quietly assembles itself. You do not see the wings forming while you are inside it. You only feel the pressure of change and the slow realization that the life ahead of you will not be the one you expected, yet it will still be a life worth living. If you are in this transition and would like to talk, reach out.
